Welcome to the Color Craft Specialist Program from Wella Professionals! In this module you will find all the key information you need to know about how the program works, what you need to do and what you can expect from the next ten weeks on the program.
We recommend you spend the next couple of days reading through this module. It has all the essential information about how the program works and how to prepare for the next module. We’re really excited to share this journey with you and we’ll see you in the first virtual classroom!
To do in this module:
- Download the post for your Instagram feed and share your journey with the Wella global community on social media!
- Use the hashtag #colorcraftspecialistonline and post behind-the-scenes pictures, final looks or what you’ve learnt so far to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
- Familiarize yourself with all the lessons in this welcome module.
- Attend the live virtual classroom – You will be sent the link to the LIVE virtual classroom by your Wella Trainers.
- Complete yourself assessment quiz.
- Source a model for your assignment in the next module - so you’re prepared. You will need a model/client with virgin hair or regrowth (2cm or longer). You will execute a full head color application, which is the same depth, or no more than two shades darker than their current color. You will use either Koleston Perfect or Color Touch. There will be a detailed brief provided in the next module which opens one week after this module opened.

Module One Color Craft Essential
Welcome to module one: Color Craft Essential. This module focuses on color fundamentals, including the biology of human hair, product performance and color theory. It’s designed to give you a strong foundation, so you’ll feel much more confident when working with your clients.
Key dates:
You will find all the key dates in your welcome letter and on your group’s Padlet page. Make sure you look out for the following:
- The date and time of the live virtual classroom.
- The date and time of your Model assignment and online test submission.
- The date and time by which you will receive feedback on your work.

Attend the live virtual classroomm. You will find the link to this in your welcome letter and on Padlet.
Complete your model assignmentand online test before the deadline which you will find in your welcome letter or on your groups Padlet.

Finding a suitable model for your module two assignment. You'll need a model/client with a minimum 2cm regrowth, or virgin hair. You'll be highlighting, using the Wella Herringbone technique. You may use Blondor Multi Blonde, BlondorPlex, Illumina Color or Koleston Perfect. Full details will be provided in module two.

Finding a suitable model for your module three assignment. You'll need a model/client with previously colored hair (so not virgin hair), and the final result you are aiming to achieve is a full head change in color, by at least 3 depths darker, OR any depth lighter than their current color. (By full head, this means one color, not highlights/partial techniques etc) Full details will be provided in module three.

Welcome to module three: Color Craft Correction! In this module you’ll learn how to approach color correction with confidence. By the end, you’ll be able to take challenging scenarios and approach them in simple, methodical steps, with improved knowledge and technical skill.
