Colin McAndrew
Managing Director of Medusa &
Head of Business at the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.

Colin has been awarded “Business director of the year 2020,2022 at the British Hairdressing business awards “ and is hosting Salon Business Mentorship seminars, that can help provide clarity, direction and growth, as well as add an injection of fun and inspiration back into our business.

Colin’s journey began 27 years ago when he joined Medusa aged 20. His role was to define the brand, create a salon that inspired, attract the right people and help creatively put the business on the map. Ten years later he became a partner and the following year purchased the business which then had three salons. Over the last 17 years, he has doubled the number of salons, introduced an academy, launched a successful rebrand and led his 78-strong team to win industry awards, including Fellowship Salon Group of the Year in 2018 and Business Director of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards in 2020, the most difficult year in the industry’s history and again in 2022. 

Colin shares his insights on the importance of laying the right foundation for success, managing stress effectively, and fostering collaboration within the salon industry. How to attract more loyal customers, become a highly efficient and profitable hairdresser/stylist as well as the importance of where and how we spend our time is some of the topics he will talk about this day.

Mark Blake is a Globally recognised, Harley Street Trichologist with over 40 years’ experience in the hairdressing industry and the go-to Trichologist recommended by the UK’s top hairdressers for their clients with hair and scalp problems.
His expertise is in high demand, and he looks after an ever-growing list of celebrities, pop stars, social media influencers and high-profile patients.
